Chayleigh got her haircut today and they styled it so cute. She always has a great time when we go there. She chose the pink coloring. I am just so glad that her bangs aren’t in her eyes anymore.

We got the prescription called in. They actually called it into the wrong pharmacy, which is why we didn’t get it. So I went to get it and the pharmacist told me that the Flonase is dangerous for children and I needed to use Veramyst. I told him that if I could afford the $90, I would. However, since I couldn’t, I was going with the Flonase. He told me that if it were his kid, he wouldn’t risk it. I thanked him and left with her Flonase. Needless to say, I freaked out all the way home and the next day I called Dr. Jeppson. He told me that it was perfectly safe for Chayleigh and he would not have prescribed it if it wasn’t. So we give it to her and it works great.
Today I went to the dentist and the eye doctor. I like to schedule many appts in one day to prevent having to take off more than one day at a time. The dentist told me that I have beautiful teeth and I got more whitening to last me till October when I go back again. The eye doctor told me that I was his most myopic patient of the day. Yay for me. He also said that for being so blind, I have beautiful healthy cornia’s. Well that is something at least right? Now, if you think you are blind, I will tell you just how blind I am. Glasses prescription is -11.25 in the right eye and -12.5 in the left. What do you think, do I win the most myopic of the people you know too?

Sorry I have been such a crappy blogger lately. I just don’t have anything to say. Barb told me it has been a month since I posted. So here you are Barb, some fun stuff for your enjoyment.
Probably going to Jinx myself with this one, but Chayleigh is now 8 weeks since her last ear infection. I am so happy. It is the longest we have gone between infections since last September.
She is using a nasal spray daily now. Since December, we have been using samples off and on of Rhinocort. We finally ran out, so I asked the Pedi to call us in something else. She called in a name brand of some sort that cost $90 for the co-pay. Needless to say, we can’t afford that. So today I spent an hour of the afternoon trying to get a different one called in, with no success. The doctor is out of the office until Monday. Lucky for us, the Pedi’s nurse is willing to give us another sample to get us through until next week when we can get a new (hopefully much cheaper) prescription called in.
Was that a good enough shout out for you Barb? LOL.

I can’t seem to find anything to write about lately.
My sister and BIL are healing. Thanks for the well wishes from everyone.
Chayleigh has entered the horrifying hell years, aka age 3. Please tell me it gets better from here.
DH is working a ton of OT again. He got a new boss, so that always means more work. At least he is paid for OT.
Easter is being celebrated on Saturday this year and I am super excited about it. Chayleigh loves hunting for eggs, so it should be a blast.
That is it from here I guess.

My parents bought new couches, so they are giving us their old set. It is about the same age as our current set, but it is leather, so should at least last a few more years. I am excited. Now I can clean up spilled milk (ha ha) without crying.

I took a few pictures of Chayleigh today to send out cards to the relatives for Easter. Had to put out some eggs for her to play with in order to get her to smile at all. Out of 29 pictures, we had two we liked.

Is pregnant and due on August 15th. She just found out that her baby boy is not expected to make it to delivery because he has a very severe case of Trisomy 18. My heart breaks for her. Before this week, I always looked at her as a selfish individual. However, going through this has changed her. I am very impressed with how she has handled this entire pregnancy. Her heart is broken, but she moves through life with dignity and grace. She is the rock for her husband and our mom, who are both breaking down over this. After this, I have learned that my sister is someone I can respect and admire, which I never thought possible. There is nothing worse than losing a child. I wish with all my heart that this was something I could fix for her like I did when we were kids. I would give anything to be able to protect her from it, but unfortunately this is something she has to do on her own.
To you little sis, may you find the strength to move through this. Thank you for showing me how wonderful you really are. I love you.

Chayleigh has another ear infection, so we took her to the doctor. Since we were there, I asked to have her height done too in order to save me time. LOL.
She is: 36.5 pounds and 40 3/4 inches tall
Guess that is why we have noticed her pants are starting to get to short. LOL.
She was also tested for strep and the flu, both of which came back negative. Her fever seems to have finally broken and she seems to be feeling better, so it appears the antibiotics are working. Yay.

That is what I have decided to call these terrible times. I swear that someone has taken my sweet child and replaced her with this horrible thing, because it can’t possibly be the same child I have known the past 2.8 years.
This one shouts at you, hits you, cries when you put her in time out, throws her toys at you, refuses to clean up her toys, won’t eat anything but macaroni and cheese and hot chocolate. Yes, that is right, chocolate milk isn’t good enough anymore, it has to be hot. Ugh. I sure hope that this phase in life passes quickly.
On the plus side, the few times a week she is actually nice, it is great to have her come up and give you a big hug and a kiss while telling you, “I love you with ALLLLLL my heart, Mommy”. However, in my case it is usually followed with a , “But I love Daddy more - giggle giggle”. Guess I have to take what I can get, right?
